Q. What can we do as engineers or individuals to prevent global warming?
As An individual
Chemicals-- Avoid chlorine at all cost! Use of any chlorine compounds is very harmful to the environment E.g Spray Paint and Bleach. Phosphates found in many laundry detergents and soaps contributes to water pollution and should be avoided.
Appliances- - Also, we can constantly send our appliances,e.g refrigerator, air conditioners, for mantainance to prevent leakage of toxic chemicals like CFC.

- Solar panels are devices that convert sunlight into energy. As engineers we can build houses that operates on solar energy. This way, we can substitute it with the conventional coal powered generator.
Bio-Fuel:
- Biofuel can be a substitute for fossil fuels.Eg would be a car operating on biofuel.
